Blue Diamond Actor, Daniel Ryan Nominated for Bingham Ray New Talent Award 2023 in the Galway Fleadh Festival
‘MISREAD’ is a short film written and co-directed by Aisling Byrne and Sinéad O’Loughlin, and produced by Kilian Waters. Daniel Ryan (Blue Diamond Actor) stars as Gary's brother.
MISREAD tells the story about Gary, who after leaving prison is living at his mother’s and struggling to stay on the straight and narrow. Tasked with driving his brother to college every day, he soon realises that he has overlooked the support that was there all along.
Aisling Byrne is known for her incredible work in Run of the Mill Theatre Company, and recent incredible short film HEADSPACE.

Safe As Houses - Short Film Screening at Dublin Film Festival 2023

Safe As Houses tells the story of Aggie, a woman with Down syndrome (Siobhan Loscher) living independently in a small community estate. Aggie offers shelter to a young girl, Lucy, when her home life is not so welcoming. As their fun reveals the underlying issue of why Lucy can’t return home, Aggie’s intentions get muddled with neighbour’s preconceptions. So begins a showdown between furious parents and the judging onlookers

'Safe As Houses' screened at the Dublin Film Festival 2022. It has also screened at many festivals around Ireland and around the globe. To name a few, Galway Film Fleadh 2022, Brussels Independent Film Festival 2022, New Jersey Independent Film Festival 2023, Toronto Irish Film Festival 2023, it also won Best Short Film at the Kinsale Shark Awards in London.

Mia Mullarkey is a successful Irish Director and recently took home the Best Emerging Director and Best Young Director Award 2023.
